my classroom management goals
I like to start my teaching with the basics because I always like my students to be confident on the basics. I think when a child is confident in the basics they can do more difficult stuff with that knowledge. When I am reading or teaching a story I would like to teach moral values. I think if we want a good student he or she should have good moral values. I do like competition, but I don’t want to make education in to a race. I have seen competition in education as a student. I know how hard it is to run that race. I want them to understand how important the education is for their future. These kinds of thoughts are common from essentialism.
I want discussions in my class room. Participating in a discussion teaches lots of things. How to listen to others and respecting others thoughts are the most important things they will learn from the discussions. Also it is a good way to understand things.
According to my philosophy, I think students should do hands on activities for lessons and they should be questioned on the things that they learn. I think experiencing things would be the most effective way to learn. I always reward when my students do well. If they did something bad I always punish. I think students need some rules, punishments, and rewards because they will learn to
Behave and learn their limitations. And also that is a motivation for them. These kind of ideas are goes with "behaviorism school of thoughts".
I really care about how students behave because I think behavior is the first step in learning. If a child can behave appropriately I think they are ready to learn and understand things.
